Learning about Children’s Mental Health through Film
Nip in the Bud® works with mental health professionals of the highest standing to produce short evidence-based films and fact sheets to help parents, educationalists and others working with children to recognise potential mental health conditions. The goal is to increase the prospects of early intervention and to reduce the risks of those conditions becoming more serious in later years.
Our films cover Anxiety Disorders, ADHD, Conduct Disorder, Depression, Eating Disorders, OCD, PTSD, Self Harm, as well as Autism Spectrum Condition, Emotional Wellbeing and tips around Covid at home and in the classroom. We will continue to add more films.
Watch our films
Our films illustrate the behaviours common in different mental health conditions in children along with explanations for them, and information as to how to follow up and get help.
We also provide downloadable fact sheets explaining different conditions with information about their symptoms and advice on how to get help.
